Jul.17,2010: Prof. Yuji Kamiya's award celebration party
|
53 people,from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south, shared this special evening with us although it was really hot day. *The Japan Prize of Agricultural Science and the Yomiuri Agriculture Prize : the prizes are awarded to researchers who have made significant contributions to agricultural science. Prof. Kamiya was recognized not only for his internationally recognized giberillin research but also for stimulating the interest of young researchers with his research activities. Jul. 2010: RIKEN Yokohama OPEN House turn out to be successful
|
RIKEN Yokohama and Yokohama City University Open Campus was held on July
3, 2010. Just as last year, we had many visitors (Adults : 1,757 Children : 872 Total: 2,629) and we were so pleased to give them the opportunity to experience visiting the research centers and get exposed to advanced scientific research at RIKEN and Yokohama City University. |

Jun. 2010: IPGSA2010 in Tarragona, SPAIN
| IPGSA Conference (International Conference on Plant Growth Substances) was held in Tarragona, SPAIN from June 28 thru July 2. You can find photos of Group Director, Yuji Kamiya (a chair) and the venue (the Palau de Congressos de Tarragona) below. Also, Yuji Kamiya was elected as the president of IPGSA from 2010 to 2013 for next three years. Next meeting will be held in Shanghai, China in June 2013. *Link：IPGSA website |

Jun. 2010: ICAR2010 was held in Yokohama
|
It was successfully finished with about 1300 participants (33 countries). Arabidopsis research has provided many breakthroughs in plant science in the last decade. New projects in plant research based on Arabidopsis knowledge will continue beyond 2010 by international cooperation.
